K-State military affairs director joins Diavolo Institute's Veterans Project
Art DeGroat, executive director of military and veterans affairs at K-State, has joined acclaimed choreographer Jacques Heim of DIAVOLO-Architecture in Motion, a Los Angeles-based dance theater company to assist with its Veterans Project.
The Veterans Project is an arts-based outreach and research program to help reintegrating military veterans restore their core strengths of hope, optimism and self-belief through movement arts. DeGroat will share his research on Post 9-11 era veterans' transition and experience in veterans arts with the DIAVOLO Institute's multiyear project to help veterans in the Los Angeles area and beyond. DIAVOLO recently gained national attention as a finalist on the hit television show "America's Got Talent."
