New Faculty luncheon Oct. 25 to feature Patricia Ackerman and Jennifer Vellenga

By Karen Large

"Defining Critical Thinking in Higher Education/Time Management" is the title of the presentation for the New Faculty Institute luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Flint Hills Room of the K-State Student Union. Featured speakers will be Patricia Ackerman and Jennifer Vellenga.

The New Faculty Institute is a universitywide program to introduce newly-hired faculty to the university's missions of teaching, research and service, and to facilitate their success at K-State. The institute offers information and networking, and it facilitates the transition of newly hired faculty members into the K-State academic environment by providing information and tools that can help them become successful as educators and researchers at the university. Each month the institute offers social luncheons filled with information, socializing and food.

For more information, contact Karen Large, New Faculty Institute coordinator, at kmlarge@k-state.edu or Jana Fallin, Teaching and Learning Center director, at teachingandlearning@k-state.edu

Please RSVP by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18.

We look forward to seeing you!
