'Effective Oral and Poster Presentations Skills': Undergraduate professional development seminar July 10

Submitted by Kelsey Peterson

Time to learn how to communicate scientific research effectively. The Graduate School is hosting an undergraduate professional development seminar from 3-5 p.m. July 10 in Fiedler Auditorium. Undergraduates who are in Manhattan for the summer can get professional development, research, and resume or curriculum vitae experience at Kansas State University.

This summer, the Graduate School is offering a professional development certificate to undergraduate students who attend all five of the professional development seminars.

These seminars are designed to help students prepare for the graduate school experience by covering topics that range from research ethics to networking and building your professional network. All undergraduates are welcome to attend.

The following seminars will be 3-5 p.m. in Fiedler Auditorium:

  • July 10: "Effective Oral and Poster Presentations Skills"
  • July 17: "Networking and Career Development"

Since students do not receive K-State Today notices over the summer, any faculty and staff who know of undergraduates in the Manhattan area during the summer are encouraged to forward this article to them. Questions about the program can be directed to Amanda Martens, almartens@k-state.edu, at the Graduate School.
