Final candidate presentations/open forums for Center for Advocacy, Response and Education advocates

Submitted by Anna Waugh

The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education will conduct interviews for two advocate positions and will host the final two candidates on campus.

The advocates will serve as a confidential source for students, faculty and staff who have been affected by sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, sexual harassment and stalking. Advocates also will present campaigns and educational programs to the K-State community. The positions are funded by the Victims of Crime Act.

The campus community is invited to be a part of the interview process. Candidates will give a presentation based on the prompt "Important Aspects of Survivor-Centered Advocacy When Working with Underserved Populations."

Shanese McGregor will present from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in 209 K-State Student Union.

Allison Day will present from 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 17, in 123 Leadership Studies Building.

K-Staters are encouraged to review the candidates' application materials and attend the presentations and open forums.
