Make a difference: United Way campaign continues until March 31

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

It’s not too late to make a difference in your community by pledging to United Way. Supporting United Way has a great impact on the lives of many of our friends and neighbors who rely on services provided by United Way. The K-State United Way campaign continues until March 31. There is still time to join the many K-Staters who have pledged more than $72,000 to the local United Way.

As members of the K-State family, supporting United Way is our biggest opportunity to do the most good in our community. United Way directly supports local nonprofit organizations that provide social services to members of our community who need them most.

Your help is needed now to raise $28,000 to reach K-State’s goal of $100,000. Real, positive change in our community can’t happen without you. Make a tax-deductible donation to the K-State United Way campaign today.

Even small donations add up, and every gift helps someone. As President Myers said, "Your donation, no matter how large or small, will help make a big difference in someone's life."

Supporting United Way has a great impact on the lives of many of our friends and neighbors who rely on services provided by United Way.

Your donation provides direct benefit to organizations like Crisis Center, Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army, Housing and Credit Counseling, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Thrive! and the Catholic Charities of Northern Kansas. These organizations, and many others, would not be able to operate without donations from the K-State family.

If every member of the K-State family donated even a few dollars to United Way, this support would help provide domestic violence victims safety and support, tutoring for thousands of children, shelter for homeless children and adults, and advocacy for local children who have been victims of child abuse or neglect.

Employees are encouraged to donate any time through HRIS/Employee Self Service so efforts are counted toward the K-State United Way campaign. You can designate a gift to the United Way in your community to make sure the funds stay local.
