K-State professor to discuss the environmental consequences of fiber manufacturing and apparel care

Kim Hiller, associate professor of apparel and textiles, will give a public lecture at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in 328 Waters Hall. Hiller will provide an overview of the environmental consequences of apparel, from fiber manufacturing to consumer care, with an emphasis on climate change, water quality and water quantity.

This talk is being presented for students participating in the capstone course of the natural resources and environmental science secondary major and is open to the general public as part of the NRES Seminar Series. Undergraduate students interested in natural resources, environmental science and sustainability issues are especially encouraged to attend.
