Dedication ceremony and reception for Unger Complex

Submitted by Tara Fronce

The Unger Complex dedication ceremony and reception will be 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. Due to space constraints at Unger Complex, the event will be in Ballrooms A and D at the K-State Alumni Center. Remarks will begin at 4 p.m.

The Unger Complex, at 2323 Anderson Ave., was named in honor of Elizabeth "Beth" Unger, former vice provost for academic services and technology and dean of continuing education, after university officials invited students, faculty and staff to submit building name suggestions. The building houses multiple campus departments and units. Previous occupants of the building include Farm Bureau and the KSU Foundation.

Speakers at the event will include April Mason, provost and senior vice president; Jon Wefald, university president from 1986-2009; and Mel Chastain, director of the Kansas Regents Educational Communications Center at K-State from 1988-2007.

The entire K-State community is invited to attend.
