K-State launches centralized reporting webpage

Submitted by K-State Clery

Safety is a shared responsibility among students, faculty and staff, and keeping K-State safe depends on the cooperation, involvement and support of all university community members. While all members of the K-State community are encouraged to accurately and promptly report all crimes and other emergencies to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, we know many victims of crimes do not report crimes directly to the police. Instead, a crime victim may decide to tell a colleague, trusted friend, mentor, or advisor.

Therefore, all members of the K-State community play an integral part in the reporting process aimed at supporting victims and protecting the overall campus community. As such, a global reporting website has been created to submit reports related to academic violations, code of conduct violations, students of concern, discrimination — based on race, color, ethnic or national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, ancestry, disability, genetic information, military status, or veteran status — harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual violence, retaliation and stalking. The reporting page may be found at k-state.edu/report/.

If you feel as though something can be done to improve the K-State reporting experience, please do not hesitate to share your thoughts. K-State cares for its community, and strives to ensure that all members of the community have the opportunity to be safe, respected and supported. Any questions regarding the centralized reporting webpage may be directed to Sarah F. Barrett, director of Clery compliance, at ksuclery@k-state.edu
