K-State Libraries announce closures, reduced hours over break

A fire sprinkler replacement project will close the Great Room and loggia entrance to the second floor of Hale Library beginning Dec. 19. Additionally, several library services will have reduced hours during the winter break.

Visitors to Hale Library should use the south "sunflower" entrance on the first floor beginning Dec. 19. The Great Room will be closed beginning Dec. 19 as well. Both closures are expected to last until the start of the spring semester.

Hale Library and the branch libraries will have reduced hours until Jan. 17. See the hours for any library

Interlibrary loan and annex retrievals: Interlibrary loan will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 2. Requests can still be submitted during this time, but they will not be processed until after Jan. 2. There will not be retrievals from the annex facility during this same time period.

Special collections: The Morse Department of Special Collections will be open to researchers by appointment only from Dec. 24-Jan. 18. To make an appointment contact the department at 785-532-7456 or libsc@k-state.edu.
