K-State Libraries service improving login security

Submitted by Donna Ekart

The interlibrary services unit at K-State Libraries is responsible for providing Kansas State University students, faculty and staff access to resources which are not owned by the Libraries, checked out by other users, or otherwise unavailable on campus.

On Thursday the software that K-Staters use to make interlibrary loan requests will receive an upgrade. The switch will move user logins to the familiar eID system, improving security. All current requests and accounts will be preserved, and the switch will require only minimal downtime on Thursday morning between 8 a.m. and noon. More information about the change is available on the Libraries’ website.
