Quick guide answers questions about accreditation and campus visit next month

By Communications and Marketing

In less than two weeks a team charged with reaccrediting the university will be on campus. To understand the ins and outs of the accreditation process, check out a one-page handout available online and in faculty and staff mailboxes across campus.

The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools will have a site team on campus April 9-11. The team will be conducting interviews and open meetings during the visit to determine whether K-State meets the standards for reaccreditation. The university has been accredited by the HLC since 1916 and is seeking reaccreditation for an additional 10 years.
