Movement Challenge highlights week four

By Human Capital Services - Benefits

The K-State community has completed week three of the Movement Challenge! Please don't forget to report your activity in the Week Three eReport. Your activity will be aligned with your department to determine the third week's leaderboard for the departmental competition. All activity must be reported by noon Tuesday, Sept 13, to be counted toward this week's leaderboard. You may have already reported some activity for week three. If so, please use the link in the confirmation email to continue to report week three's activity.

Were you aware that K-State was recently ranked No. 2 in supporting active lifestyles on a college campus? Each week, Human Capital Services will have an additional fun challenge for employees. This week's challenge is to be active on campus or at work. With the K-State Recreation Complex, great walking areas on campus, Green Apple Bikes available and other areas and events to be active, the K-State family has a great environment to work on their physical well-being. The Women of K-State will host a Yoga on the Lawn session on Tuesday, Sept. 13, in front of Anderson Hall. This would be a great opportunity to try something new or create some time to focus on mental and physical wellness.

Post to Twitter or Instagram using #purpleisprogess to enter to win a wearable activity tracker. This weekly challenge fits right in with the overall goal of promoting a healthy environment on campus. Follow @KStateHCS for more information and fun updates.

Check out the week four weekly resources for success brought to you by the kinesiology department. This week's article has some great ideas of how to be active at home and at work.

Watch K-State Today on Friday, Sept. 16, for the week three update for the leaderboard for the departmental competition and individual top participants.
