After two rounds of auditions, regional and then national, four singers from the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance were invited to compete in the student auditions at the national conference of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in Chicago. Samuel Wilson, sophomore in vocal performance, competed in the Hall Johnson Spiritual Division. Kelly Urschel, Deanna Richards and Noah Lindquist competed in the Music Theatre Division, with Lindquist earning the second place price in the sophomore division.

Singers also are performing in summer programs and with performing companies: Christian Blackburn, senior, Opera in the Ozarks, Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Madison Boyer, junior, San Miguel Institute of Bel Canto, Mexico City; Noah Lindquist, Crane River Music Company, Kearney, Nebraska; Ashleigh Tysick, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida; and Morgan Sterrett, Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Kansas City, Missouri.
