Manhattan Municipal Band performs today at 7:30 p.m.

The Manhattan Municipal Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. July 12 at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in Manhattan City Park. The concert is free and open to the public. 

The band will perform Broadway hits, the music of George Gershwin, Sousa marches and will feature soloists Tod Kerstetter on clarinet and Frank McCaskill on trumpet. 

The Manhattan Municipal Band has been a feature of the Manhattan and K-State communities for more than 95 years and performs entertaining concerts comprised of jazz, standard, classical and patriotic tunes. The Municipal Band draws participation from K-State faculty and students across all academic disciplines as well as many local Manhattan citizens and 1st Infantry Division Band Members. 

The band is sponsored by the city of Manhattan and the K-State Band Program, and is under the direction of Frank Tracz.
