Reminder: Chilled water expansion project summer road closures

Submitted by Jack Carlson

Beginning Monday, May 16, Mid-Campus Drive from northwest of the Leadership Studies Building to Holton Hall will be closed and fenced off for the continued chilled water piping distribution. Sidewalks on the east side of the street will remain open. Pedestrian crossings will be provided at Mid-Campus Drive southeast of Shellenberger Hall and northwest of Hale Library. Construction crews will install twin 30-inch diameter pipes under the existing street and will replace the pavement to transform the street into a pedestrian mall. Use caution when nearing the construction fences and barricades.

Vattier Street and Butterfly Lane to close from the northwest entrance to A2 parking lot: Beginning Monday, May 16, construction crews will close Vattier Street west of the entrance to A2 parking lot to Butterfly Lane, and from Butterfly Lane to the intersection of Lovers Lane for the installation of chilled water line piping. Pedestrians will be able to cross at the intersection of Vattier Street and Butterfly Lane. Vattier Street will reopen on June 24. Butterfly Lane will remain closed through Oct. 5. Use caution when nearing the construction fences and barricades.
