Kansas State University director named to state ACT council for 2016-2017

Submitted by Amy Perry

The director of admissions for Kansas State University will join the Kansas State ACT Council this fall.

Molly McGaughey, director of undergraduate admissions, was appointed to the state ACT council for the 2016-2017 academic year at the annual Kansas ACT State Organization Conference, April 21, in Wichita.

With more than 6,100 members and 640 state council members nationwide, the ACT State Organizations provides opportunities for educators, administrators, academic advisors and career readiness professionals to connect, drive education and workforce policy, and exchange best practices for student success.

In addition to annual conferences, members of ACT State Organizations have access to special learning events, including webinars, workshops, summits and training sessions, which are tailored to meet the needs of each state.

Council seats also are held by representatives of the Kansas Board of Regents, the Kansas Department of Education, various higher education institutions and several K-12 school districts in the state

McGaughey, who has been with the university since 2006, represents K-State admissions to the Big 12 Business and Enrollment Services collaborative and currently serves as a conference proposal reviewer for the National Association of College Admission Counseling 2016 conference.
