Acrobat and InDesign offering free seminar today for faculty/staff

By Betsy Edwards

Adobe is doing double duty by providing a free seminar on campus today and also participating in K-State's Technology Showcase on Tuesday. Adobe, one of nine vendors in the showcase, is additionally supplying Adobe Creative Suite Software as one of the prizes that can be won by a lucky K-State faculty/staff member.

K-State faculty/staff are invited to attend the free Adobe seminar from 2-4 p.m. today in Room 212 of the K-State Student Union. The seminar is co-sponsored by K-State’s Information Technology Services.

Scheduled topics at today's seminar for faculty/staff:

  • 2-3 p.m. Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat is more than just reading PDF files. Collaborate, create forms, record comments, apply security, and assemble documents into a single, branded eportfolio. Through a series of demonstrations and examples you’ll learn how easy it is to extend PDF documents for use in academia, IT and administration.
  • 3-4 p.m. Going Mobile with Adobe Tools. Learn how to use your InDesign skills to create content for iPads, Android tablets and epub. Explore Dreamweaver and Flash options for delivering content to multiple mobile devices.
