Talent Acquisition receives award for transformative work

Submitted by Cheryl Johnson

Talent Acquisition of Human Capital Services will receive the Midwest Region HR Excellence Award.

This award honors transformative human resources work in higher education, recognizing teams who have provided leadership resulting in significant and ongoing organizational change. Accompanying the award is a $1,000 institutional endowment sponsored by Variable Annuity Life Insurance Co. Human Capital Services plans to create an internship for a K-State student interested in the field of human resources.

"This award recognizes the enormous leadership to transform talent acquisition into a progressive, relevant and transformational organization," said Cheryl Johnson, vice president for human capital. "I appreciate the leadership of Roberta Maldonado-Franzen, director, and her team Dr. Cheryl Grice, Connie Pfaff-Eickhoff, Melissa Klein, Jacquee Stubings, Michelle Broky, James Johnson and Jennifer King, who served as project manager along with each person in HCS and the K-State community who contributed to the improved hiring process."
