By Zelia Wiley

The Office of Diversity will recognize two K-Staters for promoting diversity at Kansas State University at a public reception from 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the K-State Alumni Center.

Myra Gordon, immediate past associate provost for diversity, will receive the Commerce Bank and W.T. Kemper Foundation Presidential Faculty/Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Minority Students. Justice Davis, senior in marketing, will receive the Commerce Bank and W.T. Kemper Foundation Presidential Student Award for Distinguished Services in Enhancing Multiculturalism at Kansas State University.

The faculty/staff award was established in 1978 to recognize outstanding individual contributions to the development of quality education for students of color at Kansas State University. In spring 1997, the student award was established to recognize outstanding individual contributions to diversity enhancement within the student sector.

Please join us for the awards reception to recognize and celebrate our 2015-2016 Commerce Bank Presidential Awards for Diversity Excellence recipients’ achievements.
