Update on search for permanent vice president for research

Kansas State University is accepting applications and nominations for vice president for research. Academic Search of Washington, D.C. has been retained to assist with the search, with John B. Hicks serving as senior consultant.

The vice president for research, or VPR, serves as the university's chief research officer and reports directly to the president of Kansas State University. The VPR is responsible to encourage and facilitate research activities across the university's colleges and research centers and lead universitywide strategic research growth activities. The VPR provides leadership and expertise to cultivate collaborative relationships with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups to build on the university's substantial strengths in research, scholarly and creative activities, and discovery, or RSCAD.
