Anthropology professor published in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology

Marta Alfonso-Durruty, assistant professor in anthropology, published the article "Antiquity and Geographic Distribution of Cranial Modification among the Prehistoric Groups of Fuego-Patagonia, Chile" in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology.
The study analyzes the practice of artificial cranial modification in relation to the emergence of ethnic identities in the region. The research was funded in part by the University Small Research Grants and Faculty Development Awards grants of Kansas State University.
