Submitted by Jennifer Tidball

Gurpreet Singh, associate professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering, has been appointed a member of the editorial advisory board for the American Ceramic Society Bulletin.

Singh will serve on the board from 2015 to 2018. The advisory board provides guidance and counsel to the bulletin publisher and bulletin editor for the purpose of ensuring that the bulletin reports the most relevant, accurate and vital information on ceramics and glass.

The American Ceramic Society advances the study, understanding and use of ceramic and glass materials for the benefit of members and society. The first American Ceramic Society Bulletin was published in May 1922.

Singh works in the area of nanotechnology with a focus on processing structure-property characterization of two-dimensional materials and ceramics for energy-based devices.
