Personal financial planning student team moves to national competition

Submitted by Jane P. Marshall

The personal financial planning student team has advanced to the finals in the 2015 Financial Planning Challenge. The competition includes only eight teams nationwide and will be Sept. 24-28 in Boston.

Team members are Mariah Bausch, Cole Foster and Hannah Rice, all seniors. Team adviser is Ann Coulson, assistant professor in the School of Family Studies and Human Services, College of Human Ecology.

K-State is the only university to have made the finals in the competition every year since the competition began in 2001.

The challenge is sponsored by the Financial Planning Association, Ameriprise Financial and the Certified Financial Planners Board.
