Singers from School of Music, Theatre, and Dance perform across country and abroad

Voice majors from the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance have been selected to perform in young artist opera programs in the U.S. and abroad.

Programs last from 10 days to 7 weeks, and participants receive training in voice and acting with prominent voice teachers and stage directors.

Students, their hometown, vocal range and the program in which they are participating:

  • Ivy Calvert, Manhattan, soprano, Druid City Opera Workshop at the University of Alabama.
  • Madison Moore, Iuka, mezzo-soprano, Harrower Summer Opera Workshop at Georgia State University.
  • Erin Koolman, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, mezzo-soprano, Redwoods Opera Workshop in Mendocino, California and Franco-American Vocal Academy in France.
  • Rachel Hunt, Manhattan, soprano, Asian Summer Opera Project in Bejing, China.
