Manhattan Municipal Band performs tonight
The Manhattan Municipal Band will present the second concert of its summer series at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in Manhattan's City Park.
This summer concert series — under the direction of Frank Tracz — is free and open to the public and will feature performances every Tuesday night through the beginning of July.
The Manhattan Municipal Band has been a feature of the Manhattan and Kansas State University communities for more than 90 years and performs entertaining concerts comprised of jazz, standard, classical and patriotic tunes. The Municipal Band draws participation from K-State faculty and students across all academic disciplines as well as many local Manhattan citizens.
The band is sponsored by the city of Manhattan and the K-State Bands. Come out tonight to be entertained and witness a Manhattan and K-State tradition with almost 100 years of history.
