Denison Avenue sidewalk improvement project closures

Submitted by Shuang Hao

As part of the Denison Avenue sidewalk improvement project, the existing entrance at Denison Avenue to the parking lot A28 will be closed for new sidewalk work May 20. In addition, portions of the northbound lane of Denison Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. when necessary for site work. The existing sidewalk from the south side of the Ackert Hall ramp to Platt Street will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be redirected as shown on a map. The work is scheduled to be finished by the week of July 20, if weather allows.

This project is part of a collaboration with the city of Manhattan on the Denison Avenue Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Improvement project. The purpose of this project is to provide better traffic flow through Denison Avenue and a safer environment for vehicles and pedestrians.
