Service interruption notification

Contact person: Jack Carlson, 532-1722

Service to be interrupted: All chilled water used for building cooling.

Buildings involved: Ackert, Burt, Campus Creek Complex, Cardwell, Chalmers, Chem/Biochem, Durland, East Stadium, Eisenhower, English/Counseling Services, Environmental Research Lab, Feed Tech, Fiedler, Goodnow, Hale-Farrell, Holton, Holtz, Justin, Kedzie, King, Kramer, Marlatt, Rathbone, Seaton Court, Seaton Hall East Wing, Shellenberger, Throckmorton, Union, Ward, Waters East Wing, West Stadium and Willard.

Interruption time and date: 10 p.m. Saturday, May 16, to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.

What does this affect: Building cooling and anything that uses chilled water to cool.

Reason for interruption: To allow contractors to install new chilled water lines. As a part of the campus chilled water plant expansion project, an outage of the campus chilled water system is scheduled in order to make interconnections between new and existing chilled water distribution underground lines. Work is expected to take approximately five days, but the outage may require the nine-day duration.
