Submitted by Frederick Burrack

Institute_Summit

The Institute for Student Learning Assessment will partner with the Diversity Summit to present "Assessing diversity outcomes: Advancing inclusive excellence" Nov. 12-13. Proposals are being accepted until Sept. 8.

This institute will focus on assessing learning in the outcome category of diversity and will begin an intense discussion on what student learning in diversity looks like and ways in which it can be measured.

The call for proposals includes several topics:

  • Defining diversity learning outcomes specific to a discipline.
  • Measurement tools for diversity outcomes.
  • Best-practice examples of instructional/assessment practice to develop diversity outcomes.
  • Strategies to use program-based assessment of diversity outcomes to promote institutional advances toward inclusive excellence.
