Financial Wellness: Financial workshops offered in 2015

Submitted by Human Capital Services Benefits

Human Capital Services and TIAA-CREF Financial Services announce a financial workshop, Paying yourself: Income options in retirement, from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the K-State Student Union in the Cottonwood Room. This workshop will be in the evening so spouses and financial partners are encouraged to attend. Please note, employees do not have to have a current TIAA-CREF account to attend.

It's time to consider a little payback.

You've made a lot of sacrifices in order to put away enough money to retire. When it's finally time, do you know how to get the money back? There are lots of considerations, rules and tax implications that make these decisions very important and more complex.

TIAA-CREF's workshop leader will simplify retirement income:

  • Learn the basic rules that govern the most common retirement accounts.
  • Gain perspective on when to tap into different assets.
  • Discover the flexible income choices TIAA-CREF offers.

To register, navigate to TIAA-CREF's registration website.

Register by clicking the link provided, then under the heading "Upcoming Seminars" click "At your Workplace." Select Kansas as your state and Kansas State University as your employer. Select the Thursday, May 14, 2015 – Paying Yourself: Income options in retirement and register. Remember to bring your spouse or financial partner to share in this important seminar.
