David Lisak to speak about sexual assault offender behavior, the neurobiology of trauma

By Anna Waugh

David Lisak, nationally recognized forensic consultant, trainer and public speaker, will offer training and facilitate action planning conversations with students, faculty, staff and invested community members about sexual assault offender behavior and the neurobiology of trauma from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 3 at the K-State Alumni Center in the Banquet Room.

The free event will include an all campus training and discussion, and an action planning segment specific for student leaders. Lisak's work on the subjects of non-stranger rapists and male survivors of childhood sexual abuse has assisted in increasing public knowledge of these topics and directing rape prevention and response policies in universities and U.S. government sectors.

This event will be webcast through a secure site for the Salina and Olathe campuses. Please contact SafeZone for more information to register for any portion of this event.
