Documentary screening of 'Every Two Minutes' on March 12

By Anna Waugh

The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education and SafeZone will provide a free screening of the documentary "Every Two Minutes" from 4-5:30 p.m. March 12 in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. After the screening, there will be a facilitated discussion with filmmaker Laura Swanson. The screening is free and open to the public.

This documentary, created by students and alumni of Michigan State University, provides a look into the day-to- day activities of university students who are committed to helping sexual assault survivors in their community. Along with interviews of therapists, nurses, police and advocates, the diverse narratives of male and female sexual assault survivors invites viewers to take a second look at the way our society understands rape and sexual violence.
