America Saves Week: Utilize your education benefits

America Saves Week is a great time to think about easy ways to reduce your education expenses. Did you know that K-State provides tuition assistance for classes taken through Kansas State University? This tuition assistance program is available to full-time, benefits eligible employees.
Full-time, benefit eligible employees can apply for the benefit by completing the application and submitting to the Office of Student Financial Assistance. For more information please see the applicable chapter in the K-State Policies and Procedures Manual.
All employees also are able to save for education expenses through the Kansas Learning Quest Education Savings Program. These investment plans offer tax-deferred earnings growth and potentially reduced taxes on withdrawals. Contributions are made on an after-tax basis for the benefit of named beneficiaries.
