Volunteer as a teen mentor this spring
Are you an undergrad looking to complete volunteer hours for education, family studies and human services, social work, etc.? Do you enjoy working with middle school and high school students? Then, come sign up with UFM for the Teen Mentoring Program.
Student mentors are paired with middle school and high school students and we participate in weekly activities, such as team building, improving self-esteem and being safe in relationships. Mentors lead positive group activities and conversations with students.
We are especially looking for male mentors to be role models for our middle school and high school boys. High school students meet from 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays and middle school students meet from 3-5 p.m. Wednesdays at UFM Community Learning Center.
If you would like more information about volunteering for the Teen Mentoring Program, please contact Mandy Coltharp, teen mentoring coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by UFM at 1221 Thurston St., across from Justin Hall, to complete an application.
