Participants for a youth health promotion research study needed

Submitted by Ric Rosenkranz

Attention parents of girls in the third through seventh grades:

• Are you interested in helping your daughter to improve her eating or exercise habits?
• Does your daughter have concerns about body image or self-esteem?
• Has your daughter been picked on because of her size or weight?
• Could your daughter benefit from setting health-related goals and working with a big-sister-type role model?

If any of these apply, she may be eligible for a special wellness program led by K-State's Youth Physical Activity and Nutrition Motivation Lab. We are currently recruiting female children, aged 8-13 years, for a health promotion study of the comparative effectiveness of two home-based coaching intervention programs through a randomized controlled trial.

Please email Richard Rosenkranz at ricardo@k-state.edu for more information about the Wildcat Wellness Coaching Trial: Kansas State University IRB Project Approval #6296.
