Lafene Health Center offers flu vaccine clinic

Submitted by Julie Gibbs

Lafene Health Center is offering a flu vaccine walk-in clinic available to all students, faculty and staff. This quadrivalent vaccine protects against four different flu viruses. The flu clinic is open 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 30; Nov. 6, 13 and 20; and Dec. 4 and 11.

If you are unable to make one of the clinics, please call Lafene Health Center at 785-532-6544 to schedule an appointment to get your flu shot. Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent yourself from getting the flu.

Please bring your student or staff ID card and insurance information. The cost is $17 for students and $22 for nonstudents if you are uninsured.

The vaccine is not available through Lafene Health Center to pregnant women or women who are breast-feeding. Please consult your primary care provider regarding vaccination.
