Office of Student Life releases annual security and fire safety report

Submitted by Office of Student Life

Kansas State University is dedicated to helping all members of the K-State community have a positive educational experience, and the Office of Student Life is fully committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all.

As part of that commitment, the office wants to provide all K-Staters with the opportunity to make informed decisions regarding their safety. The annual security and fire safety report is published each year to give the K-State community the information necessary to make these decisions.

The 2014 reports for the Manhattan, Salina and Olathe campuses contain statistics for calendar years 2011, 2012 and 2013

Paper copies of the reports are available upon request at the following offices for each respective campus.

  • Manhattan campus: Office of Student Life, 102 Holton Hall, 785-532-6432
  • Salina campus: Office of Student Life, 102 Student Life Center, 785-826-2971
  • Olathe campus: The reception desk in the main lobby at 22201 W. Innovation Drive, Olathe, 913-541-1220

If you feel there is something the Office of Student Life can do to improve the K-State experience when it comes to safety, contact the office for your respective campus. The Office of Student Life cares for the K-State community and strives to ensure that all members of our community have the opportunity to be safe, respected and supported.

In compliance with the Higher Education Amendments of 1965, as amended, Kansas State University campuses prepare and distribute annual security reports that contain important information concerning crime and fire prevention, crime reporting and policy statements. The reports are updated every year and contain fire and campus crime statistics for the previous three years on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or properties that are owned or controlled by K-State, and public property as required by law.
