Welcome to the new K-State Today

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

K-State Today will start the 2014-2015 school year with a new look. Recipients will note enhanced visual capabilities, article summaries to reduce click throughs and additional information such as links to the university's social media sites. Coordinated by the Division of Communications and Marketing, two versions of K-State Today are sent each weekday: one to faculty and staff and the other to students.

Campus users are encouraged to provide news items relevant to Kansas State University using the contribute link. Additional resources, publications and the university's events calendar are in the right column of the email.

K-State Today was created to reduce the amount of email traffic from various listservs and create a common location for university news, announcements and required communications.

Announcements are reviewed by K-State Today editors in adherence to Kansas State University's style. Please note that only submissions pertaining to Kansas State University will be accepted for publication. A publication request date allows you to choose the day you'd like to have your announcement published. It is with rare exception that announcements are allowed to appear more than once.

The deadline for submissions is noon the weekday before the item is requested to appear. For Monday's email, the deadline is Friday at noon. If you have any questions about the process please email vpcm@k-state.edu.

Thanks to your contributions, K-State Today has grown immensely since it began nearly three years ago and provides a valuable tool to efficiently communicate with our university family.
