iSIS available for universitywide access at 1 p.m. today

By Kenneth Stafford

iSIS, Kansas State University's student information system, will be available for universitywide access at 1 p.m. today, July 21. Visit the iSIS recovery page for details of the outage and recovery efforts.

Working closely with our university partners, nearly all iSIS transactions have been recreated since July 10, the system restore date, except for a limited number of financial aid transactions expected to be completed this week. All faculty, staff and student self-service functions will be available today, with the exception of financial aid, which will be available as soon as all transactions have been recreated.

Students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to verify the accuracy of information in iSIS, especially if you made a change in the system between Thursday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 15. These Web pages offer suggestions on what to do:

The due date for the June student bills has been extended to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22. Student bills for the month of July should be accessible on Wednesday, July 23. Since student bills will be produced before all financial aid transactions have been recreated, students are encouraged to:

  • Review financial aid awards when self-service becomes available. Students may need to reaccept/decline awards.
  • Review pending financial aid for fall 2014, which is updated daily. Pending financial aid represents aid that is ready to be applied to the student's account. Since this data is refreshed daily, students will be able to see up-to-date billing detail.

When all financial aid transactions have been recreated, the Office of Student Financial Assistance will communicate with the affected students regarding his/her next steps.

Information Technology Services apologizes for the outage and appreciates the patience and support of the campus community as we worked to restore iSIS to the fullest extent possible. Additional actions are being taken to prevent the same issue in the future.
