Rebecca Gould: Why I support the All-University Campaign
Why do K-State faculty and staff support the All-University Campaign? The answers are as varied as the people themselves.
For Rebecca Gould, director of the Information Technology Assistance Center and professor in hospitality management and dietetics, it's a way to pay it forward.
"When I was working on my doctorate, a family I didn't even know invested in my future,"she said. "My family was able to make it through the final year of my doctoral degree due to a scholarship provided by the generosity of strangers. That is why I give. At the time, I could not fathom that kind of blind faith but am grateful for their support and will continue to pay it forward."
Gould's support of the campaign isn't limited to giving. She's also in her second year serving as co-chair of the campaign.
As of this week, 33 percent of K-State faculty and staff have made a gift to the campaign. Have you made your gift this year? To make your gift, visit our designation webpage to browse thousands of giving options.
