Take Back the Night is Wednesday

Submitted by Claire Tolentino

The K-State Women's Center is heading its annual Take Back the Night march from 8-10 p.m. Wednesday starting and ending at Bosco Plaza. After the march, enjoy poetry readings, music, art displays and crafts.

Take Back the Night is a demonstration march that acknowledges that women are disproportionally unsafe when walking at night and seeks to address this issue by reclaiming the night as a safe environment for everyone. The march seeks to be all-inclusive, so anyone wanting to support a woman's right to safely walk at night is invited to join. This includes families, children and men.

Please join us for a night promoting safety and fun. Be looking for fliers and chalking for more information and reminders about this event.
