New peer education course offered for fall 2014

By Julie Gibbs

If you're interested in educating your peers on evidence-based health information, consider becoming a WellCAT Ambassador.

Enroll in our new course: EDCEP 311, section E, Interaction and Guidance for the Paraprofessional. This is a 0-3 credit hour academic course taught by health professionals and is intended to prepare students in becoming peer educators through discussions, lectures, readings and interactive exercises. As WellCAT Ambassadors, you will gain skills in peer education through the BACCHUS Network, become CPR and First Aid certified through the American Heart Association, learn about various health topics pertinent to college students, and improve your public speaking and leadership skills.
