Human Ecology faculty, grad students present research in Houston

Several students and faculty in the College of Human Ecology gave oral presentations recently at the 19th annual Graduate Education and Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism in Houston.

They were:

  • Sarinya Sungkatavat, doctoral student; Junehee Kwon, associate professor, hospitality management and dietetics department; and Karen Myers-Bowman, associate professor in the School of Family Studies and Human Services, presenting "Exploration of the U.S. travelers’ destination image of Thailand."
  • Han Wen, doctoral student, and Kwon, presenting "Serving consumers with food allergies:  Exploration of food allergy knowledge, attitudes, and current practices of independent restaurant operators in the U.S."
  • Bethany Deschamps, doctoral student, and Kwon, presenting "Feasibility and effectiveness of healthy menu changes for non-trainee military dining facilities."
