Presentation of 'Needle in the Bone: How a Holocaust Survivor and Polish Resistance Fighter Beat the Odds'

Submitted by Charlene Brownson

Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg, poet laureate of Kansas from 2008-2013, will present about her book, "Needle in the Bone: How a Holocaust Survivor and Polish Resistance Fighter Beat the Odds," from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Meadowlark Hills Community Room. A book signing will follow the presentation.

The book is a result of years of interviews with two men whose stories of survival demonstrate the triumph of the human spirit. To register to attend call toll-free 877-404-5823 or go online. Cost to attend is $10; students are free.

The presentation is hosted by Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Kansas in partnership with Kansas State University; classes and programs in Manhattan are organized by UFM Community Learning Center. For more information, contact Kansas State University/UFM at 785-539-8763.
