January Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls

New Yorker Boiler recalls home heating gas-fired hot water boilers due to carbon monoxide hazard. The air pressure switch can fail to shut down the burners when there is a blockage in the vent system, allowing the boiler to emit excessive amounts of carbon monoxide and posing a CO poisoning hazard to the consumer.

Sears and Kmart recall Kenmore oscillating fan heaters due to fire and burn hazards. Broken motor mounts can cause the units to overheat, catch fire and ignite nearby items, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.

Philips Selecon recalls four- and eight-leaf barn doors for Rama Luminaire stage lights due to impact hazard. The heat of the stage lights can make the barn doors detach from the light and fall, posing an impact injury hazard to individuals below it.

RSI recalls bathroom medicine cabinets due to injury hazard, sold exclusively at The Home Depot. The mirror or its back panel can separate and fall out, posing an injury hazard to consumers.

Horizon Hobby recalls Blade 500 X BNF and Blade 500 3D RTF and BNF remote controlled model helicopters due to injury hazard. The tail rotor grip used for securing the tail rotor blade to the tail rotor hub can separate and release from the helicopter, posing a risk of a crash and injury hazard.

Bodum USA recalls Bodum Rose Gold glass coffee presses sold exclusively at Starbucks due to laceration and burn hazards. The glass carafe can fall out of the metal frame and plastic base of the coffee press and break or shatter, posing laceration and burn hazards to consumers.

Reebok-CCM recalls EP20K Senior (SR) hockey elbow pads due to risk of elbow injury. The molded foam padding inside the elbow pads can become cracked, fractured or split, which poses a risk of injury to the elbow.

Baby rattles recalled by Midwest-CBK due to choking hazard. The head on the rattle can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Playtex recalls pacifier holder clips due to choking hazard. The pacifier holder clips can crack and a small part can break off, which poses a choking hazard to small children.

Nationwide Industries recalls Trident pool gate latches due to failure to secure hazardous areas. The magnet contained in the striker portion of the latch assembly can come loose, preventing the latch from securing a gate.
