Difficult conversations and critical incident response training Feb. 11
Kathryn Tolle, psychologist with K-State counseling services, will present "The Challenge of Criticism: Approaching and Overcoming Difficult Conversations," course WTD151, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Room 226 of the K-State Student Union.
Many of us equate confrontation with conflict. Though this may not always be true, it can make us avoid it altogether. Join us in an interactive presentation to increase your confidence and skill in effective communication about difficult workplace situations. This two-hour session will include information, discussions, role plays and other interactive activities.
Later that morning, Karen Low, assistant dean and director in the office of student life, will present "Critical Incident Response," course WTD152, from 10:45-11:45 a.m. This session will focus on threat management and workplace violence.
These presentations are for supervisors and managers and are in conjunction with Introduction to Supervision training. These sessions will be offered again in June. There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials.
You may register:
