Interacting with difficult visitors session scheduled for Jan. 23

Heather Reed and Laurel Koch from the office of student life will present Interacting with Difficult Visitors (WTD160) from 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in Room 227 of the K-State Student Union.

Office staff is often the first contact that individuals have with a department. There are times when individuals who come to the office are frustrated and/or angry and lash out.  This session will provide de-escalating communication strategies, methods of dealing with a difficult or threatening person, as well as information on dealing with suspicious persons.

This session is intended for frontline office staff. If you have a large staff and would like this presentation for this particular area, please contact Reed or Koch at 785-532-6432.
