Rec services announces opening of locker rooms and racquetball courts

The newly renovated locker rooms at the Rec Complex are now open. The renovation includes new showers, lockers and saunas.
Patrons wishing to rent a locker are invited to stop by the rec services' administrative office. The fee for a half locker is $4 per month or $39 per year. A full locker is $7 per month or $68 per year.
Daily-use lockers are also available. Patrons may check out a lock at the service desk or provide their own lock; all locks must be removed from daily-use lockers each night.
Towels will still be issued free of charge at the service desk; however, a new check-in/check-out policy requires that patrons show their ID or membership card at the equipment issue counter to receive or turn in a towel.
Racquetball/handball courts are also now available for drop-in use, by advance reservation and a challenge court system. Patrons may reserve a court one day in advance by calling 785-532-6950 or in person at the service desk.
For more information, call the administrative office at 532-6980. The office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
