K-State Master of Agribusiness hosts Animal Health Industry Insights Seminar at K-State Olathe

Kansas State University’s Master of Agribusiness, or MAB, program is hosting an Animal Health Industry Insights seminar at noon Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the K-State Olathe campus.
Richard Carnevale, vice president for Scientific, Regulatory and International Affairs for the Animal Health Institute, or AHI, in Washington, D.C., will be the speaker. He will share upcoming regulatory trends as well as take questions from the group.
Carnevale joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service as the assistant deputy administrator in the Science and Technology Program in 1988 and helped develop the microbial testing programs to support the meat and poultry Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, or HACCP, programs now mandatory in all meat and poultry plants under federal inspection. He has been with the institute since 1995. The Animal Health Institute represents the manufacturers of animal drugs and veterinary biologics before federal agencies, Congress, and international health and food safety organizations.
