Partners in education: 2+2 agreements link K-State, Dodge City Community College

Submitted by Julie Fosberg

Students at Dodge City Community College now have some new options for earning a bachelor's degree through Kansas State University.

K-State and the community college have developed and signed two new 2+2 agreements that allow students in the Dodge City area to remain in their community while completing a K-State bachelor's degree via distance education.

"We appreciate the partnership opportunity with K-State. This will give Dodge City Community College students another option to earn a bachelor's degree while living and working in the Dodge City area," said Don Woodburn, interim president of the community college.

The first agreement pairs the agriculture food chain security program at Dodge City with the technology management bachelor's degree through K-State Salina. The other agreement will allow students with a business administration associate degree from Dodge City to complete a general business degree through K-State.
