Closing reception for 'In the Land of a Thousand Buddhas' art exhibit today

By Thomas Jackson

On behalf of the K-State Student Union Art Committee, Vibhavari Jani, associate professor, invites faculty, staff and students to the closing reception for the "In the Land of a Thousand Buddhas" art exhibit from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today in the K-State Student Union William T. Kemper Art Gallery.

The exhibit was designed and installed with the help of interior architecture & product design graduate students from the College of Architecture, Planning & Design after coming back from a Peace Fellowship in Thailand.

It includes photographs of Thailand and Cambodian art, architecture and culture, as well as artifacts, textiles, dance masks and ceramics brought back from the two countries. This exhibit was under the direction of Jani.
